Houston - Car Parking

Parking:

The airport has over 25,000 parking spaces and parking rates that are among the lowest anywhere in the country. In 2001, we added an additional 5,600 spaces with our new Terminal A/B Garage situated between terminals A and B. In 2005, with the addition of Terminal E a new garage with 2,500 more spaces was added. Terminal C covered parking is also available. All vehicles entering the A/B and Terminal C garages will be searched by security personnel.

The Houston Airport System also operates Parking Cents, the city's economy lot, which provides parking at the corner of Greens Road and John F. Kennedy Blvd., with free shuttle service to the terminals. In addition to our Parking Cents lot, there are also a number of Off-Airport parking facilities with courtesy shuttles that travelers can choose from.

Economy Parking:

Economy Parking at Bush Intercontinental just got a whole lot better!

The City Economy Lot is now Parking Cents, the official On-Airport Value Lot at Bush Intercontinental Airport. We're close by, easy, quick and friendly, too. With the largest Shuttle Fleet to get you to and from the terminals fast.

Parking Cents, formerly known as the City Economy Lot, is located at the intersection of JFK Boulevard and Greens Road.

IAH Sure Park - Guaranteed Parking:

This members-only offering allows travelers to receive a guaranteed parking spot in a designated area of the Terminal C parking garage. IAH-SurePark members enter the 400-space SurePark area, located in the second level of the C-East parking garage, by using a membership card. In addition to always having a guaranteed parking space at the garage, SurePark members also enjoy a shorter wait to enter and exit the parking facility.

Those wishing IAH-SurePark memberships must pay a one-time application fee of $200 and a $50 refundable deposit for their membership card. Parking rates for the SurePark area are $15 for the first 24 hours, or portion thereof, then a graduated scale of $5 for 0-3 hours, $7 for 3-5 hours, and $15 for 5-24 hours.

This offer is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Anyone who would like to participate in the IAH-SurePark program, or wants more information, should call (281) 233-1730.

Cell Phone Lot:

Bush Intercontinental Airport has a new innovation that will save you gas and time, plus cut down on stress, when you come to pick someone up when their flight arrives.

At the Cell Phone Lot, located off of Will Clayton Parkway, you can wait - free - under the supervision of a security officer until your arriving party calls you on your mobile phone to tell you they have picked up their checked bags and are ready for you to pick them up at curbside.

The Cell Phone Lot eliminates the need for circling the airport repeatedly if your arriving party is later than expected. When more airport visitors use the Cell Phone Lot, there is less traffic on Terminal Road and less pollution in the air.

The Cell Phone Lot is open every day.

To get to the Cell Phone Lot, whether you're approaching the airport using John F. Kennedy Boulevard or Will Clayton Parkway, just follow the yellow signs to the entrance.

Newest parking lot at IAH - Safe and Secure - Open 24 hours. Save up to 35% off the on-airport parking lots. Reserve now and save. Satisfied Customer: "Excellent service. The recent parking use went exceptionally well and I am very pleased" 07/2006

A common bus system is now shared by all rental car companies. To get there, follow the Rental Car signage at your arriving terminal and look for the white and maroon buses marked "Rental Car Shuttle".

Consolidated Rental Car Facility:

The Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CRCF) at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), which opened in August, 2003, centralizes the operations of nine different national rental car companies, creating a more modern, efficient and environmentally-friendly system of getting air travelers to and from their rental cars.

The $135 million two-level facility sits on a 140-acre site located on the east side of John F. Kennedy Blvd. The complex includes a 30,000-square foot, four-bay Bus Maintenance Facility, along with a 3,500-square foot tilt wall bus wash and fueling station with a 20,000-gallon underground fuel storage tank. An additional 60 acres are available for future expansion.

The goals of the facility are to free up space in the airport's terminals, decrease traffic at the terminal curbsides, reduce confusion for travelers and provide a level playing field for all car rental companies.

A common bus system replaces the individual rental car company buses, reducing the number of buses from 126 to 23 during peak periods. The new shuttle buses are 'clean diesel' vehicles, reducing nitrogen oxide (NOX) emissions by as much as two tons per day.

Convenient traveler features of the facility include:

ť Passengers only need to look for one common shuttle bus to the nearby facility --- the white and maroon buses marked "Rental Car Shuttle" ť The bus trip to the center is less than 5 minutes ť All rental company service counters are on the same level ť Vehicle pick-up is no more than 300 feet from counter to car ť All pick-ups and drop-offs located under covered parking ť Flight information display monitors give you the latest flight information before boarding buses to return to the terminal.
