From Hwy 880 north, follow the exit signs on 98th Avenue for a direct, quick drive to the airport entrance. From Hwy 880 south, use the Hegenberger Road exit or follow the exit signs on 98th Avenue for a direct, quick drive to the airport entrance. Merge onto Hegenberger Road and continue straight ahead to the airport; all lanes lead to the airport. Cross Doolittle at the airport entrance. To get to the Rental Car Center, follow the signs to Doolittle Drive. Take Doolittle Drive to Langley St. and go left. The Rental Car Center is on the right. Use the right lane for Terminal 1, the Economy parking lot, Park & Call Zone and Cargo Facilities. To get to the Economy parking lot or the Park & Call Zone, exit at Ron Cowan Parkway and follow the signs. For Cargo Facilities and Daily B parking, turn right on Alan Shepard Way. Use the left lane for Terminal 2 and the Hourly and Daily A parking lots.
Within 8 miles of the airport, travelers can tune to TIPs Radio 1700AM for current airport traffic, parking availability and security information. To purchase a BART ticket at the station, ticket machines will accept $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills (Please note the ticket machine will not dispense more than $4.95 in change for any one transaction). All BART stations are accessible to the handicapped. Elevators for the handicapped may also be used by airline passengers with luggage.

Links the COLISEUM station to OAKLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT every
10-20 minutes.

travel time for the shuttle is 15-30 minutes depending upon traffic.

Bus service to and from Oakland International Airport is provided by AC Transit lines 50 and N.
Line 50 operates every 15 minutes between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and every 30 minutes between 9:00 p.m. and midnight, connecting Oakland International Airport with BART at the Coliseum Station (travel time 15 minutes). Line 50 also serves destinations in east Alameda, east Oakland, and San Leandro.
Line N operates every 60 minutes between approximately 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., connecting Oakland International Airport with east Oakland, downtown Oakland, and downtown San Francisco (at the Transbay Terminal at First and Mission streets).
Local bus fare is $1.75 for adults, $0.85 for youth (5-17), and $0.85 for seniors (65+) and disabled passengers. Children under 5 ride free. Transbay (to San Francisco) bus fare is $3.50 for adults, and $1.70 for youth, seniors, and disabled passengers. Transfers to connecting AC Transit buses may be purchased upon boarding the first bus for an additional $0.25.
AC Transit operates 75 local lines in the East Bay from San Pablo in the north to Fremont in the south. Twenty-five transbay lines operate to San Francisco and San Mateo. AC Transit buses serve all BART stations west of the East Bay hills. Connections are easy and economical using the two-way AC Transit-BART transfer available inside BART stations.

Parking at Oakland International Airport is worry-free because there are plenty of parking spaces, most within walking distance of the terminals. Whether you are parking for a couple of minutes, a couple of hours, or a couple of days, there’s a space available for you. OAK offers 7,000 parking spaces in its hourly and three extended-stay lots. Premium valet services are also offered.
At Your Service
Complimentary, environmentally-friendly, on-airport parking lot shuttles provide regularly scheduled service between the lots and the terminals. These shuttles conveniently pick-up and drop-off travelers at the second (middle) curbside, while all off-airport parking shuttles pick-up and drop-off at the further (outer) curbside.
Also, for on-airport parking patrons, OAK offers complimentary roadside services, including assistance with vehicle lockouts, dead batteries, tire changes and finding a lost vehicle.
Valet…and On Your Way
Whether you are running late for your flight, or prefer convenience and carte blanche care, OAK offers premium valet services so that you can get on your way. Car wash and vehicle detailing are also available for a nominal fee. The valet services pick-up and drop-off area is located between Terminals 1 and 2 on the second curbside. Vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Park & Call Zone
OAK offers a FREE Park & Call Zone for meeters and greeters who can connect to their passenger by cell phone. Drivers may wait for up to 30 minutes and must remain with their vehicles at all times. Once contacted, meeters and greeters bear right as they exit the Park & Call Zone to pick-up their passenger at the terminals. Passenger pick-up is permitted at both the first (inner) and second (middle) curbsides.

From I-880
Take 98th Avenue or Hegenberger Road to the Ron Cowan Parkway/Economy lot off ramp and merge left. At the stop sign, turn left on Ron Cowan Parkway. At the next intersection, turn right on John Glenn Drive. The Park & Call Zone entrance is on the right near the Oakland Maintenance Center.
From Terminals
Follow the signs for Economy lot/Park & Call Zone. Turn left under the Airport Drive overpass, then an immediate left on John Glenn Drive. The Park & Call Zone entrance is on the right near the Oakland Maintenance Center.
Special Needs Customers
Convenient, close-in, extended-stay spaces are available for disabled customers with corresponding ID. The disabled-reserved spaces nearest to the terminals are located in the Hourly lot and are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the lower Daily rate. Additional disabled-reserved spaces are located at the front section of the Daily A, B and Economy lots. A reduced rate is also available to disabled customers using valet services for the first four hours only.
Rental Car Shuttle buses operate between the terminals and the Rental Car Center, every 10 minutes; however, it operates "on demand" between 1:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
While the Rental Car Center is open 24 hours a day, travelers should check with their car rental agency's reservation center for hours of operation at OAK and make arrangements for special arrival and departure requests.
Picking Up Rental Cars
Take the Rental Car Shuttle from terminals to Rental Car Center to transfer to off-airport rental car agency shuttle. (Call from terminals or Rental Car Center to arrange transfer at Rental Car Center).
Dropping Off Rental Cars

If you plan to check your luggage, please arrive at the ticket counters at least two hours prior for domestic departure and three hours prior for international departure, or as directed by your airline.
Oakland International Airport's Rental Car Center houses all on-airport rental car agencies in one location. This facility is at the airport's North Field less than 10 minutes from the terminals. The Rental Car Center is one of many projects included in the Airport Development Program.

Located in Terminal 1 at gate 9 and in Terminal 2 at gate 20, you will find full-service business centre's which are know as Laptop Lane. It features full-service business facilities which range from small boardrooms to a theatre style venue that can accommodate up to 810 people. It also has a high-speed Internet connection available, as well as a courtesy shuttle bus which serves the airport.
The airport has lifts and ramps, which are available where necessary. Passengers who require wheelchair assistance, are recommended to contact their individual airlines in advance. There is disabled parking, which is located conveniently close to the building, available in the hourly and daily parking areas.
Three brand-new carousels, each capable of handling baggage from two Boeing 737 jets; A stunning terrazzo floor located throughout the building that contributes to the Port of Oakland's efforts to create a green and sustainable operating environment since it requires far less maintenance and is more durable than traditional carpeting; An 8-foot by 21-foot video wall featuring finished works by local artists commissioned by the Port of Oakland; New restrooms - facilities for women and men are bright, airy and equipped with ADA-compatible stalls that are roomy enough for a traveler and his/her carry-on luggage or a young child. Diaper changing stations are provided in each; and Two down escalators and an elevator that offer more capacity to quickly transport travelers from arrival gates to baggage pick-up.
This project is part of OAK's $300 million Terminal Improvement Program begun in 2004 and is designed to add even more convenience, security and service to the travel experience. In addition to the newly-opened baggage claim facility, the program encompasses a new seven-gate concourse extension and waiting areas to Terminal 2; expanded ticketing and security facilities; and a modern, centralized food, beverage and retail shopping area. Additional improvements to the terminal roadway and curbsides will improve access and ease traffic congestion in front of both terminals. Program completion is expected in 2008.
