Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) formerly Chiang Kai-shek International Airport, also known simply as Taoyuan Airport or C.K.S. Airport, is an international airport located in Taoyuan County, Taiwan, Republic of China in northern Taiwan.
It is one of three Taiwanese airports with regular international flights, and is by far the busiest international air entry point amongst them. It is the home base for China Airlines and EVA Air, both of which operate a major hub at this airport.
The airport has two terminals, each with several gates, all fitted with jetways.
China Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Thai International Airways, and Cathay Pacific are the main international airlines operating from terminal 1.
Terminal 2 sees mainly domestic airlines including EVA Air and China Airlines. Dragonair, United Airlines, Japan Airlines also make use of terminal 2. FedEX, DHL, UPS and China Airlines Cargo are some of the Cargo Airlines that are serviced within the airport.

Taxis:
Taxi queues are outside the Arrival Halls of both terminals. To ensure the safety of passengers, only the taxis approved by the Aviation Police Bureau are permitted to operate in TTY Airport.
Taxis are available at TTY Airport 24 hours a day.
Airport taxis charge according to the meter in addition to a 50% surcharge (highway tolls not included) and provide transport to anywhere in Taiwan. (A typical taxi fare to Taipei is approx. NT$1,100.)

TTY Parking
Guide (Terminal I)
1.TTY Parking Guide provides regulations governing parking lots within Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (hereafter referred to as the Airport).
2.The Airport only provides parking space and is not responsible for any loss or damage to property that may occur on TTY parking premises.
3.Drivers must first obtain parking tickets and then follow designated routes to enter the parking lots. Driving in the wrong direction or unauthorized parking is strictly prohibited. Only registered airport taxis may enter the parking lots and they must do so through designated taxi lanes.
4.Parking tickets must be retained, as they are used in calculating parking fees.
5.With the exception of monthly parking tickets, all parking fees must be paid in cash. An official receipt will be provided.
6.The following vehicles are exempt from parking fees:
(1) Fire truTTY, ambulances, and consular vehicles
(2) Government vehicles carrying Airport Parking IDs (only valid in Arrival Parking Lot).
(3) Vehicles dispatched to the Airport on official affairs.
(4) Vehicles driven by a handicapped driver and registered for the use by the same handicapped driver (only the first parking day is free of charge).
7.Government agencies stationed at the airport may obtain parking permits for the following types of vehicles:

Vehicles belonging to government employees
(Applicants must complete a separate application (see Appendix 52) for each vehicle, affix the official seal of the agency's chief executive, and submit to the Airport the completed form along with a photocopy of the vehicle license and driver's license. To obtain free parking, the authorized vehicle must be driven by the driver affirmed on the permit.)
8.In the event that equipment or objects inside the parking lots inflict damage on a car parked therein, the owner of the car shall be entitled to compensation.
9.Parking lot open hours
(1) Terminal I and Terminal II Parking Lots are open 24 hours a day.
(2) Wei Hu Chung Road Parking Lots: Monday to Friday - 0800-1800; Weekends and National Holidays - closed.
(3) Cargo Terminal Area Parking Lots (including motorcycle) are open 24 hours a day.

The minimum charge is 30 minutes. New days are calculated from midnight.
10. Monthly parking IDs and official parking IDs are not transferable. They may only be used by those who are authorized. Permits may not be altered or deliberately defaced in any way. Any infraction of these regulations will result in the immediate and permanent revocation of the parking permit.
The fee for replacing a defaced ID is NT100.
The fees for replacing lost IDs are as follows:
NT$200 the first time in a calendar year
NT$400 the second time in a calendar year
NT$600 the third time in a calendar year
(IDs will not be replaced after 3 times)
11. Any vehicle parked in the Terminal I Parking Lot for more than 30 days or in the Wei Hu Chung Road Parking Lot for more than 7 days shall be impounded by the Aviation Police Bureau. Charges and the expense of damages, if any, arising from this impounding shall be borne by the vehicle owner.
12. If the parking ticket for a vehicle is lost, the rate charged shall be the maximum daily rate multiplied by the number of days the vehicle is parked. In the event of a single-day charge in the Wei Hu Chung Road Parking Lot, the rate shall be calculated from 08:00AM on that day.
13. Parking lot attendants must deposit moneys received in the designated airport bank account at the end of each business day. Tickets, receipt copies, and deposit receipts must be balanced and submitted to the Management Services Section of the Airport (Hereafter referred to as the Management Services Section) for confirmation.
14. After the Management Services Section has completed balancing the day's receipts, it shall complete a report titled "Daily Parking Lot Income Statement" and submit the statement to the Accounting Office of the Airport (Hereafter referred to as Accounting Office) together with all supporting documents. The Accounting Office shall then issue a formal accounting statement, attaching to it the tape from the adding machine and the Parking Lot Income Statement.
15. The Accounting Office shall perform random cheTTY to confirm that the actual moneys received match the amount on the adding machine tapes.
16. To obtain a monthly parking permit, the applicant must first apply to the Management Services Section, which upon approving the application, will provide a form in triplicate to be completed by the applicant's bank. The bank shall retain one copy of the form; the Airport shall retain another; and the third copy is for the applicant. The applicant shall then submit a Payment Confirmation Form issued by the bank to the Management Services Section, which will then issue or renew the monthly parking permit. The Management Services Section shall then add the application details to a form entitled "Parking Permit Statistics Form" and at the end of each day, shall submit the form to the Accounting Office together with a copy of all Payment Confirmation Forms. The Accounting Office shall then issue a formal accounting statement, attaching to it the Parking Permit Statistics Form.
17. Each month, the Operations Team shall complete in triplicate a compiled Parking Permit Statistics Form showing transactions for the previous month. Before the 12th day of the month, the Operations Team shall deliver one copy of the Parking Permit Statistics Form to the Airport Administration and another copy to the Accounting Department. The third copy shall be retained by the Management Services Section.
18. All provisions contained in this guide shall be effective on the date of publication.
Terminal II Parking Lot
Location: Two underground levels as well as the ground level on the east and west sides of the terminal

Free shuttle-buses transport passengers and airport personnel between Terminals I and II. The People Moving System (PMS) is scheduled to take over this function in December 2001. When TTY Terminal III is complete, the PMS line will extend into a U shape to serve all three terminals.
